Oritubes Polystyrene Sorwall Tubes are transparent and will withstand centrifugation speed up to 1,200g. Plastic tubes guarantees no danger of glass activation during testing. polystyrene will tolerate aqueous solution, weak acid and mild bases, but not aromatic, chlorinated hydrocarbons or organic solvent, and cannot be autoclaved.
Oritubes Polypropylene Sorwall Tubes are translucent and will withstand over 3,000g centrifugation. Polypropylene also accepts most solvents and alkalies, common acids at room temperature. Polypropylene is almost unbreakable and can be sterilized at 120c.
